【Able Hakuba Goryu】 “Tengu no Michi” Trail Maintenance Workshop – Participants Wanted!
A trail maintenance workshop will be held on the “Tengu no Michi” (Tengu Trail), which extends from Mt. Koitomi in Hakuba Village. The organizers are currently seeking participants to join the project.
Once a regularly used path, the Tengu Trail is currently fading into disuse. Despite its current state, the ridge line offers breathtaking, exclusive panoramic views. The goal of this workshop is to preserve and pass this precious trail on to future generations through sustainable maintenance that minimizes human impact and balances nature.
In this upcoming session, participants will clear bamboo grass and shrubs where necessary, gradually restoring the path into a walkable trail. No specialized skills or prior experience are required, making it a welcoming event for beginners as well.
【Event Overview】
・Location: Able Hakuba Goryu, Mt. Koitomi area
・Dates: Sunday, July 12, 2026 / Thursday, July 16, 2026
・Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Meet and finish in front of the Able Hakuba Goryu Telecabin / Gondola base station)
・Capacity: Approximately 15 participants per session
【Participation Fee】
1,000 JPY (Includes insurance and equipment rental)
*Please note: The fee has been reduced from the originally planned 2,500 JPY.

【Gear & Packing List】
Drinks, lunch, a hat, work gloves (heavy-duty or cotton), and insect repellent.
【Clothing & Footwear】
Standard day-hiking gear
Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with good traction
*All necessary work tools will be provided by the organizers.
【Important Notes】
The activity involves approximately 1.5 hours of hiking to reach the site. Please ensure you are in suitable physical condition to participate safely.
In the event of rain, the activities may be modified or canceled.
